Job summary

Aqua Indiana is seeking a Facility Operator in Western Hancock County, Indiana, with a Class 3 wastewater certification to manage the WWTP, lift stations, and wastewater collection systems under the Area Manager.

You will monitor operations with SCADA, ensure regulatory compliance, complete work orders, coordinate repairs with contractors and internal staff, and maintain accurate site documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of operational experience in the wastewater industry.
• A valid U.S driver's license.
• Must reside within ~45 minutes of the WWTP, located in central western Hancock County.
• Must currently possess a valid Indiana certification for Wastewater Class I, or above.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains the Class 3, 1.0 MGD WWTP and related facilities.
• Monitors operations including SCADA and regulatory compliance.
• Completes customer service work orders and maintains system documentation.
• Monitors capital projects and coordinates repairs with contractors and staff.
• Adheres to safety policies and participates in training to meet CE requirements.
• Performs tasks independently while supporting team goals.
