City of Kyle, TX seeks a Wastewater Treatment Operator Assistant to operate and monitor a 4.5 MGD plant using an activated sludge process. The role requires maintaining records, performing tests, and ensuring safety and compliance in a 24/7 operation.

Minimum qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, 1 year in related field, and a Texas Driver License. TCEQ Class D license or ability to obtain within one year is required.

Competenze

• Must have or obtain within 90 days a valid Texas Driver License.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of general work experience in construction, utilities, public works, landscaping, mechanical maintenance, or a related field.
• Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Class D Wastewater Treatment License, or the ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• Residence within 45 minutes of the department.

• Prepare and maintain plant operations and maintenance records.
• Maintain accurate records of samples, test results, and field-testing parameters.
• Perform routine process control testing.
• Read and interpret laboratory equipment displays and record results.
