Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; basic math and reading comprehension.
• Current Texas Driver’s license.
• Must obtain TCEQ licensing within one year of employment; additional certifications as required by TCEQ.

Responsibilities

• Monitors control panels and adjusts valves to regulate flow of sewage.
• Observes meter/gauge readings and test results to determine load requirements.
• Starts/stops pumps, engines, and generators to control flow of raw sewage.
• Maintains logs of operations and records readings.
• Collects sewage samples and conducts laboratory tests.
• Operates and maintains power generating equipment to provide steam and electricity for the plant.
• Performs routine equipment maintenance and minor field repairs as required.
• Follows all safety policies, regulations, and procedures; maintains cooperative relationships with coworkers.
• Assists in training new employees and shares workload to balance duties.
• Responds to emergencies and standby/on-call requirements.
