The position requires passing drug/background checks, 12-hour shifts, and a SC wastewater certification with 5+ years of related experience, including field ops.

Qualifications

• Must pass drug screen and background check as part of hire process.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts with flexible schedules (2/2/3 or 7on/7off).
• Education includes Highschool Diploma or GED and state wastewater certification.
• Minimum 5 years related water/wastewater experience, including 3+ years field ops.
• Ability to follow a full range of instructions and work independently.
• Ability to train others on testing processes and concepts.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Strong communication to maintain client relations and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operates wastewater plant processes including water treatment, clarifiers, filters, and chemical treatment.
• Tests samples, analyzes plant performance, and optimizes operations for efficiency.
• Maintains logs and documentation of plant activities and performance metrics.
• Calibrates pumps, motors, valves, and associated equipment.
• Diagnoses and repairs pumps, drive units, reducers, and flow components.
• Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Monitors TSS, pH, turbidity, ORP, and chemical reactions to improve outcomes.
• Ensures safety procedures, PPE use, and emergency responses.
• Communicates malfunctions clearly to minimize downtime.
• Uses MS Office to document data and maintain records.
