Job summary

WesTech Engineering in Eastover, South Carolina, is seeking a Water/Wastewater Operations Technician to oversee daily plant operations, including water treatment and chemical processes. The role requires passing pre-employment screenings and working 12-hour shifts in schedule options.

A valid SC wastewater certification and 5 years of related experience are preferred. You will calibrate and maintain pumps, monitor treatment parameters, and document performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with state wastewater certification.
• 5 years of water/wastewater experience, including at least 3 years in field operations.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts (2/2/3 or 7on/7off).
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct water sample testing to monitor plant performance and optimize operations.
• Maintain logs and records of all plant activities.
• Calibrate pumps, equipment, and sensors critical to plant operations.
• Diagnose and repair pumps, drive units, valves, and related equipment.
• Perform maintenance on chemical injection systems and related components.
• Monitor and adjust treatment parameters (pH, turbidity, ORP, TSS) to improve outcomes.
• Ensure safety procedures, PPE use, and safety checks are followed.
• Document operational data using Microsoft Office tools and logs.
• Collaborate with team and customers to ensure smooth daily operations.
