Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking a full-time Plant Manager for Acton’s wastewater facility. You will oversee daily operations, supervise two operators, manage budgets, and coordinate with regulators and clients to ensure 100% compliance.

Role requires MA Grade 5 license, 5–10 years’ experience, and strong OT/maintenance oversight with SCADA and reporting duties. Some after-hours standby may be required.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Grade 5 Wastewater Treatment Operator License is required.
• 5–10 years in wastewater and/or water treatment.
• Experience managing at least two employees.
• Proficient with SCADA, Word, Excel and maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operation and maintenance of equipment, SCADA networks, and pumping management.
• Manage the daily operations log.
• Collect samples and conduct lab testing for compliance.
• Meet with the client to review operations and maintenance.
• Manage annual operating and capital budgets.
• Monitor operations by reviewing data, records, and reports.
• Coordinate required sampling activities.
• Maintain project records and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with client to address complaints.
• Initiate actions to resolve operational issues.
• Oversee repair, maintenance, and construction activities.
• Coordinate repair activities with the client.
• Ensure staff training on materials, equipment, tools, and safety.
