Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking a full-time Plant Manager for the Town of Acton’s sequencing batch reactor wastewater facility and pump stations. You will manage daily operations, supervise two operators, and oversee budgets while coordinating with regulators and the client.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Grade 5 Wastewater Treatment Operator License
• Five to ten years experience in wastewater/water treatment
• Experience managing at least two employees
• Proficiency with SCADA and MS Word/Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of regulations and reporting requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of treatment plant and pump stations
• Schedule and direct plant staff in operations and maintenance
• Prepare reports for regulators, client, and Woodard & Curran
• Manage annual operating and capital budgets
• Monitor facility operations and review data and records
• Coordinate required sampling activities
• Ensure training on safety and equipment
• Respond to client complaints and emergencies
