Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking a full-time Plant Manager for the Town of Acton’s sequencing batch reactor wastewater treatment facility and wastewater pump stations. You will oversee daily operations, maintenance, and a small team to ensure 100% regulatory compliance and safe, reliable plant performance.

Based in Acton, the role requires leadership, budget management, client coordination, and strong communication with regulators and staff.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Grade 5 Wastewater Treatment Operator License is required.
• 5–10 years of experience in wastewater and/or water treatment.
• Experience managing at least two employees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of the treatment facility and pump stations.
• Supervise a small team (two operators) including scheduling and directing plant staff.
• Prepare reports for regulators, the client, and Woodard & Curran.
• Manage annual operating and capital budgets.
• Coordinate repair, maintenance, and construction activities with the client.
