Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a seasoned Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor in Rhode Island to oversee daily operations, maintenance and safety at the city's plant and UV disinfection system. You will coordinate staff, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement in treatment processes.

Responsibilities include supervising operators, optimizing SCADA-related tasks, coordinating with external vendors, and preparing monthly reports.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
• Five (5) years of experience in the maintenance/operation of a wastewater treatment plant.
• Understanding of the SCADA and OT(operational technology) systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage the operation, maintenance and repair of the City's wastewater treatment facility and equipment.
• Develop and implement division goals, objectives, work plans, reports, policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with departments to assure compliance with various regulations, industry standards, Safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor Ultra-Violet disinfection system(s) operation to assure that procedures are followed.
• Coordinate treatment plant response to emergency situations.
