Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective work on wastewater treatment plants and related equipment. You will travel to client sites as required and log activities in CMMS while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires three years of industrial maintenance experience, ability to work weekends/holidays, and a valid driver’s license. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), PTO, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in maintenance of wastewater treatment plants or similar industrial setting.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, shift work and on call duty as required.
• Proficient with CMMS and basic spreadsheet/word processing tools.
• Valid driver’s license with no major infractions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, structures, grounds, machinery and equipment.
• Lubricate equipment and check for malfunctions.
• Replace packing in pumps or valves.
• Replace bearings in motors, pumps, and other equipment.
• Tune engines, set valve clearance, clean, and adjust regulators.
• Examine equipment failures to identify cause and prevent recurrences; install and set up new equipment.
• Clean and paint interior and exterior equipment and buildings.
• Clean out pipes and perform other plumbing and pipe fitting tasks as required.
• Use gas and/or arc welding equipment to heat, cut, braze, or weld.
• Assist in keeping maintenance records; and perform other duties as required.
• Take action to ensure the safety, health and well-being of you and your team.
• Regular travel by motor vehicle to client sites and project locations; valid driver’s license required.
