Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. seeks a Wastewater Treatment Plant Mechanic in Baton Rouge to maintain and repair critical wastewater systems, pumps, motors, and related equipment. The role involves hands-on mechanical work, safety-first practices, and collaboration with operators, electricians, and contractors.

You will perform preventive maintenance, read technical manuals, and document activities in CMMS while traveling to client locations as needed to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1+ years mechanical maintenance experience in industrial settings preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Comfort working with CMMS and reading technical manuals and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment in wastewater systems.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance to maximize reliability and uptime.
• Repair pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, and related equipment; assist with start-up and commissioning.
• Read blueprints and schematics; document work in CMMS and coordinate with teams.
• Adhere to safety policies, lockout/tagout, and confined space procedures.
