Job summary

The City of Caldwell (ID) is seeking a Wastewater Operations Supervisor with at least four years of wastewater experience and a minimum of six months of supervisory/trainer experience. The role involves overseeing plant operations, maintenance, and laboratory testing, with extensive exposure to safety protocols and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities include supervising operators, coordinating maintenance, responding to on-call needs, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• At least four (4) years' experience wastewater operations.
• At least 6 months' work experience in a supervisory and/or trainer capacity.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine tasks related to facilities and grounds upkeep and maintenance.
• Cleans building, equipment, primary and secondary clarifiers.
• Performs environment upkeep, mowing lawns, snow removal, etc.
• Performs interior and exterior painting.
• Operates tractors, dump trucks, etc. as needed.
• Operates and assists in operation of light to heavy equipment in cleaning and maintaining plant facility.
• Assists in treatment plant processes and operations, including plant electrical and mechanical support systems to ensure optimum performance.
• Check all equipment to ensure proper operations.
• Monitors plant alarm systems and SCADA system.
• Calibrates gauges, meters and measuring devices.
• Performs a variety of laboratory tests, such as DO and pH, TSS, VSS, etc.
• Interprets laboratory test results to evaluate plant performance.
• Implements emergency repairs and procedures when required.
• Supervises and trains plant operators, collection systems operators, and lab technicians.
• Responds to 24 hour on call and standby.
