Inframark in New York is seeking a Wastewater Operator to operate and maintain equipment at our treatment facilities. The role requires NY 2A license and a High School Diploma or GED, with the opportunity to pursue water/wastewater certification.

Salary ranges around $25-$32 per hour depending on experience, with shift flexibility including weekends and on-call. The position emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable customer service to support municipal and industrial clients.

Qualifications

• Willingness to study required material and prerequisites to obtain water or wastewater certification.
• Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures and safe practices.
• Ability to perform routine on-site maintenance and emergency repairs of treatment equipment.
• Knowledge of regulatory rules is essential.
• Previous water or wastewater treatment experience is desirable.
• Completion of water or wastewater correspondence courses is very desirable.
• Willing to work all shifts including weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on call.

Responsabilités

• Operates equipment including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, vehicles.
• Performs routine testing and monitoring of production wells and unit processes; basic lab analyses.
• Documents treatment process and maintenance; records plant performance data.
• Responds to call outs and after-hours emergencies to repair equipment.
• Ensures facilities are clean, neat and secure.
• Provides customer service functions when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
