Job summary

Turkey Hill Dairy in Conestoga, PA is seeking a Wastewater Operator to manage wastewater treatment and potable water distribution, ensuring full regulatory compliance and maintaining required certifications under the Plant Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities include submitting PA-DEP DMRs, SRBC reporting, daily wastewater testing, vendor coordination, equipment maintenance, and reporting water usage. The role emphasizes safety and adherence to GMP and company food safety principles.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must work in a team environment.
• Maintain adherence to scheduled work hours (start/end/lunch/break).
• Perform duties in accordance with GMP regulations and safety guidelines.
• Responsible for Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs) to PA-DEP.
• Prepare and submit monitoring/compliance reports to SRBC.
• Conduct daily wastewater testing and coordinate weekly testing with approved vendors.
• Review/approve/process wastewater invoices and forward to Accounts Payable.
• Maintain and service all wastewater treatment equipment and regulatory records.
• Communicate with plant personnel on water flow requirements and WWTP performance.
• Prepare and distribute daily water flow and usage reports.
• Coordinate and manage annual sludge hauling contracts and services.
• Monitor water supply and distribution system and coordinate maintenance/repairs.
• Partner with chemical vendors for testing and process improvements.
• Develop/oversee daily wastewater hauling schedules.
• Attend required trainings to maintain PA DEP licenses and certifications.
