Job summary

H2O Innovation is seeking a Wastewater Operator (Class I-II) to join our Laurel, Mississippi team. You will operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes, perform routine inspections and sampling, and maintain logs under supervision.

The role involves following safety procedures and contributing to permit compliance in a municipal or industrial setting. Qualified candidates hold an active Class I or II license, have basic process knowledge, and are motivated to grow within the wastewater

Qualifications

• Active Class I or Class II Wastewater Operator License.
• Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and plant operations.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the wastewater industry, with the goal of advancing certification levels.
• Ability to follow instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record data.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and system monitoring.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work in varying environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes under supervision.
• Perform routine inspections, sampling, and basic laboratory testing.
• Record operational data and maintain accurate logs.
• Assist with minor maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to alarms and assist in troubleshooting process or equipment issues.
• Support preventative maintenance activities on pumps, valves, and other plant equipment.
• Assist with process adjustments to help maintain compliance with permit requirements.
