Job summary

H2O Innovation seeks a qualified wastewater operator to oversee municipal plant processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a small team.

In this full-time, on-site role, you will monitor operations, troubleshoot issues, maintain logs, and coordinate with maintenance and auditors while upholding safety standards.

Education and licensing are required; strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential to support a compliant, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Active Level IV Wastewater Operator License (or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and regulations
• Experience in municipal wastewater plant operations
• Ability to monitor and adjust plant processes and systems
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Leadership ability and experience supporting a team
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

• Oversee and operate wastewater treatment processes to ensure compliance and efficiency
• Monitor plant operations and make adjustments as needed
• Analyze lab and operational data to maintain treatment performance
• Troubleshoot process, mechanical, and equipment issues
• Coordinate and support maintenance of plant equipment
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and compliance documentation
• Lead and support lower-level operators
• Respond to alarms, upsets, and emergency situations
• Assist with inspections, audits, and regulatory coordination
• Enforce safety procedures and company standards
