Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least one year of wastewater experience or certified training, basic mechanical skills with pumps and automation, and state operator certification (or obtain within 12 months).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum one year wastewater treatment experience or equivalent training/certification is strongly preferred.
• Basic mechanical competency with standard wastewater equipment to include pumps and automation is required.
• Wastewater Operator Certification required by state agency or obtained within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate the wastewater treatment system in compliance with discharge limits.
• Operate wastewater treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment in wastewater treatment plant to control flow and processing of wastewater.
• Monitor control panels and adjust valves manually or by remote control to regulate flow of influent and chemicals
