Job summary

Pilgrim is seeking a Wastewater Technician to support the plant's daily operations. You will break down equipment, clean areas, and ensure readiness for operation while adhering to safety guidelines.

This role requires handling wastewater tasks, moving tankers, assisting maintenance, and keeping paperwork up to date. You must lift over 50 pounds and wear PPE at all times.

Located in Texas, the position is on-site and requires a valid driver's license and compliance with state and city regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift over 50 pounds.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE at all times.
• Able to work with wastewater and hazardous chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Break down equipment and clean to prepare for operation.
• Clean the entire wastewater area as needed.
• Treat water as required and stay within state and city regulations.
• Move filled meat, feather and sludge tankers as needed.
• Assist maintenance as needed.
• Check and replace drive belts and check gearbox oil levels.
• Fill out required paperwork for jobs.
• Wear PPE when handling hazardous chemicals.
• All other duties as directed by Waste Water/ Environmental Management.

Job description

• Responsible for breaking down the equipment and cleaning to assure they areready for operation.
• Cleaning the entire waste water area as needed.
• Required to treat water as needed and stay within state and city regulations
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Follow corporate safety guidelines.
• Required to move filled meat, feather and sludge tankers as needed.
• Required to assist maintenance as needed.
• Check and replace simple task such as drive belts and check gearbox oil levels.
• Required to fill out all necessary paper work for the jobs at hand.
• Must be able to lift over 50 pounds
• Required to properly wear PPE when handling all hazardous chemicals.
• All other requirements as directed by Waste Water/ Environmental Management.
