Job summary

The City of Lancaster seeks a Water/Wastewater Supervisor to oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of public water and wastewater systems. You will supervise multiple crews, assign and dispatch tasks, monitor budgets, complete regulatory reports, and coordinate with contractors.

The role requires a one-year certificate or equivalent experience, several TCEQ certifications, a CDL, and proven leadership to train staff and ensure OSHA/TCEQ guidelines are followed.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience supervising water/wastewater crews.
• Proven ability to oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of public water/wastewater systems.
• Experience preparing budgets and regulatory reports.
• Strong training and safety program knowledge (OSHA/TCEQ).

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple crews in water/wastewater operations.
• Assign and dispatch crews to complete tasks.
• Monitor budget expenditures and purchasing card statements.
• Work with contractors on large water/wastewater projects.
• Prepare state reports and payroll documentation biweekly.
• Train staff on equipment, tools, and safety policies.
