Job summary

The City of Baltimore is seeking a Waste Water Technician Supervisor II Sanitary to oversee the operation of a wastewater treatment plant section and supervise shift staff. The role includes directing subordinate supervisors and ensuring efficient, compliant operations.

Applicants must meet education and licensing requirements, including Maryland driver’s license and wastewater certificates, and will undergo background checks and a six-month probation period.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 5 years in operation, maintenance and minor repair of wastewater plant equipment; 1 year supervisory responsibilities.
• Licenses: Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver's license; valid State of Maryland Wastewater Operator Certificates (Class A and Class 5).

• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance and proper reporting of operations.
• Coordinate shift work and respond to emergencies as needed.
