Job summary

Orange County Utilities is seeking a Wastewater Operator A (Operations Specialist) to oversee plant operations at the South and East Water Reclamation Plants in Orlando. You will ensure permit compliance and lead daily operational activities with a focus on efficiency and safety.

The role requires at least 3 years of water/wastewater experience, a valid Florida driver license, and may include a night shift schedule. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent and three (3) years of water or wastewater plant experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.
• Certification may be required based on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater treatment processes and ensure permit compliance.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training and project coordination.
• Plan and schedule PM work orders and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain data accuracy for DMRs and related reports.
• Coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel and contractors.
