Job summary

Franklin Township Sewerage Authority seeks a qualified Operations Manager for our Somerset, NJ facility. You will oversee all activities to operate and maintain sewer collection systems, report to the Executive Director, and manage a team of field personnel.

Hour is 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM in person. Salary range is $100,000 to $140,000 annually with comprehensive benefits including health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Five years' supervisory/management experience in wastewater collection systems.
• Experience operating backhoe, front end loader and other earth-moving equipment.
• CDL and C4 license required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities and collection system; prepare weekly reports for the Executive Director.
• Meet weekly with the Executive Director to review past work and plan the next two weeks.
• Prepare material requisitions for approval by the Executive Director.
• Supervise sewer maintenance workers and ensure work progress.
• Submit annual department budget recommendations and monitor expenses.
• Schedule safety trainings and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide hands-on training to field personnel.
• Prepare monthly operation activity reports for the Executive Director.
• Perform duties required by NJDEP as the Licensed Collection System Operator.
