Anne Arundel County Office of Personnel seeks a Full-Time, represented Utilities Emergency Response Technician in the Department of Public Works, Bureau of Utilities. This skilled position handles troubleshooting, emergency repair of water and wastewater infrastructure, and emergency customer service calls.

You will investigate, repair, or refer issues; maintain logs and operate vehicles; require knowledge of water/wastewater systems, basic math, and computer use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 4+ years in water distribution or wastewater systems.
• Valid non-commercial Class C driver's license.
• Safety-sensitive position with CDS testing.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency service calls regarding malfunctioning water or wastewater systems.
• Investigates/troubleshoots/repairs and/or refers problems on wastewater collection and water distribution systems such as mainline/leaks, metering issues, water pressure problems, and sampling.
• Prepares/completes daily operation logs, work orders, inventory sheets, and pre/post trip inspections.
