Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a Waste Water Supervisor in the Plant department to lead a shift of maintenance staff and oversee wastewater treatment operations. You will supervise water-testing routines, ensure safety and compliance, and collaborate with other departments to optimize processes and reduce costs.

The role requires a BS in Engineering (Waste Water preferred) and hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical work, and pumps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with wastewater focus.
• ,
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical repairs, pumps and equipment.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret OEM specifications.
• Capable of working both in teams and independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain healthy operation of pretreatment equipment.
• Develop and maintain the chemical and biological treatment strategy for Waste Water Processing.
• Identify and evaluate alternative chemical treatments and lagoon operating parameters to minimize costs.
• Responsible for DAF efficiency and personnel.
• Assist with storm water and air inspections.
• Ensure a compliant, effective and economical wastewater treatment system.
• Negotiate with municipal WWTP to reduce processing costs.
• Support ISO 14001 Environmental Management System implementation.
• Lead wastewater treatment improvement projects within budget.
• Oversee maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Manage labor practices and performance development for direct reports.
