Job summary

Narragansett Bay Commission is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor (FP013) in Providence to oversee daily maintenance crews at the wastewater facility and remote pumping stations. You will supervise mechanical, electrical and instrumentation upkeep and coordinate with operations management to keep equipment available and functioning.

The role requires a four-year degree or equivalent with at least eight years in wastewater maintenance, plus a minimum of three years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent vocational program with at least eight years in wastewater facility maintenance.
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
• Experience supervising maintenance of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day maintenance crew work.
• Supervises preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment at the facility and remote stations.
• Coordinates with operations management to ensure equipment and materials availability.
• Provides back-up support for scheduling and staff management.
• Assists in capital planning budget for equipment and parts.
• Directs and trains Maintenance staff; sets priorities and provides field supervision.
• Ensures compliance with NBC policies, SOPs, permits and union agreements.
• Maintains logs, reports and tool inventories; orders supplies as needed.
