Job summary

The Town of Gilbert is hiring a Lift Station Technician to monitor and maintain wastewater lift stations within the service area. You will perform daily observations, reactive and preventive maintenance, and coordinate with contractors for major repairs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant training and experience, on-call duties, and ADEQ Grade 1 certification with a Class B CDL and Tanker Endorsement.

Qualifications

• 2 years of specialized or technical training beyond high school in mechanical, plumbing/electrical, and basic sewer operations.
• 2 years of on-the-job experience in the same.
• Must possess on-call and standby duty experience or willingness to perform.
• Ability to work in extreme Arizona temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Visit and observe every lift station daily.
• Perform reactive maintenance daily on wastewater lift station equipment.
• Generate Lucity work orders weekly.
• Perform preventive maintenance monthly on wastewater lift station equipment.
• Prepare daily reports regarding actions taken.
• Exercise valves and ARV maintenance.
• Work with contractors, scheduling during major repairs.
