Job summary

City of Largo seeks a skilled technician to install, calibrate, and repair complex high voltage equipment used in wastewater treatment and lift stations. You will work with supervision, follow NEC standards, and may handle irregular hours during emergencies.

Responsibilities include maintenance of flow meters, PLCs, SCADA components, documentation, and collaboration with systems integrator; requires valid Florida driver's license and safety training.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED plus 2 years of vocational/technical training or journeyman experience in electrical work.
• Experience: 2 years hands-on experience with 120/240/480V and 3-phase electrical systems; PLC/SCADA/ instrumentation troubleshooting.
• Certifications: NEC safety practices and Arc Flash awareness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and repair high voltage electrical equipment up to 480V in wastewater facilities.
• Operate and maintain flow meters, SCADA components, PLCs, and related devices.
• Record repairs, calibrations, and tests; update schematics and paperwork.
• Attend NEC training and maintain safety compliance; respond to emergency events as needed.
• Work shifts may include irregular hours during emergencies.
