Job summary

City of Largo is seeking a skilled wastewater instrumentation technician to install, calibrate, and repair high voltage electronic equipment used in wastewater treatment and lift stations. The role requires independent judgment within technical standards, with supervision by a Utilities Supervisor.

Shifts may include irregular hours during emergencies. Applicants should have a high school diploma and vocational training with hands-on experience in 120/240/480V systems, PLC/SCADA troubleshooting,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with vocational training and 2 years of hands-on electrical/instrumentation experience.
• Experience in 120/240/480V systems and instrumentation; PLC/SCADA troubleshooting preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and NEC safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair high voltage equipment up to 480V.
• Diagnose faults with test instruments; perform preventive maintenance.
• Maintain records and assist in safety/compliance.
