Job summary
Glenbard Wastewater Authority is seeking a full-time Plant Instrument & Control Specialist to install, calibrate, and support SCADA and control systems at the Glenbard Wastewater Authority facilities. The role focuses on maintaining instrumentation, PLC programming, and data logging to ensure reliable plant operations.
Responsibilities include calibrating instruments, upgrading control systems, and maintaining documentation.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certificate in automation or related field with 2–5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and instrumentation calibration/maintenance
- Ability to obtain Illinois CDL Class A or B within 1 year of hire
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and calibrate instruments and SCADA/controls
- Develop, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs, HMIs, and process control systems
- Configure and update control software and support system upgrades
- Maintain records of maintenance, calibration, and repairs
