Job summary

The City of Cincinnati’s MSD Wastewater Engineering Division offers a Project Management co-op for undergraduates. Interns will support planning, design, and project management tasks, gaining exposure to GIS, permit reviews, and field observations.

You'll learn from engineers, assist with submittals and public communications, and participate in field visits to understand sewer systems and capital projects while developing professional skills in a real government environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as an undergraduate and completed at least two semesters.
• Basic understanding of MS Office.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS experience beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and supervising engineers in planning and design tasks.
• Assist with GIS map development and review construction submittals.
• Attend training related to civil and environmental engineering.
• Visit active construction sites to observe project plans in action.
• Assist with issuing sewer permits and reviewing sanitary sewer designs.
