Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Wastewater Engineer/Manager to join our growing Water group in Colorado, with opportunities in Denver, Fort Collins, or Colorado Springs. You will lead design efforts for wastewater facilities, pipelines, and pump stations, and help grow our Colorado wastewater market.

The role emphasizes project management, client development, and mentoring with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
7+ years of wastewater design and project management experience.
MS Office and MS Project proficiency.
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preference for local candidates.

Responsibilities

Lead design and project management of wastewater facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and related systems.
Develop business opportunities and pursue new Colorado clients and projects.
Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across HDR offices and stakeholders.
Prepare construction documents, calculations, and specifications for water/wastewater projects.
Serve as owner liaison; oversee startup, commissioning, and project delivery.
Present at local, regional conferences and industry forums.
