Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Boston area team. The role focuses on wastewater system design for our New England division, with a hybrid work arrangement and locations in Quincy or Woburn, MA.

The successful candidate will have a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree, 2+ years of wastewater design experience, and be either EIT/PE or pursuing licensure. Strong communication and coordination with clients and staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 2+ years of professional wastewater engineering design experience.
• EIT/PE or pursuing licensure; ability to obtain by reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical memoranda, reports, calculations, designs, drawings, and cost estimates under supervision.
• Assist Project Manager with schedules and budgets; report progress.
• Coordinate with subconsultants and lead design on select tasks.
• Review calculations and concepts to ensure quality control.
• Contribute to proposals with scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Assist in client meetings and technical presentations.
• Develop knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
• Mentor entry-level engineers and interns.
