Job summary

Target is seeking a Senior Program Owner – Wastewater Programs to lead enterprise wastewater compliance and permitting initiatives. The role oversees strategy, execution, and continuous improvement across a distributed portfolio of facilities, ensuring regulatory alignment and risk reduction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the Clean Water Act, experience with inspections, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable guidance for internal partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental compliance with a focus on wastewater quality programs.
• Strong working knowledge of wastewater regulations, permitting, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Target’s wastewater compliance programs and ensure alignment with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Lead permitting, reporting, and inspection readiness across jurisdictions.
• Identify and escalate complex wastewater compliance issues; support regulator interactions and responses.
