Job summary

The City of Fresno is seeking an experienced Collection System Maintenance Specialist to help maintain and improve our wastewater collection system. You will perform sewer cleaning, CCTV inspections, lift station servicing, and related fieldwork to keep the system flowing.

Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant work, CWEA Grade II collection system maintenance certification, and a valid Class B CDL with Tanker endorsement; some roles may require Class A within six

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of full-time paid experience performing manual, semi-skilled and skilled work using mechanical equipment and related tools in wastewater collection systems.
• CWEA Grade II Collection System Maintenance certificate required at time of application; maintain throughout employment.
• Class B CDL with Tanker endorsement required at time of application; Class A within six months may be required for some assignments.

Responsibilities

• Clean sewer lines using hydro-flushing and rodding equipment.
• Conduct CCTV inspections of wastewater pipelines.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair lift stations and related equipment.
• Install and repair pipelines, manholes, and service connections.
• Respond to system alarms and emergency service calls.
