Job summary

Oro Loma Sanitary District is seeking a qualified individual to supervise and direct Collection System Workers in operating, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting the sewer collection system. The role includes inspecting lines, assisting in repairs, training staff, and ensuring safety compliance.

The ideal candidate should have four years of relevant experience, a California Class B license, and the ability to obtain a Grade II CWEA certificate within two years. DOT drug/alcohol testing applies.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in pipe cleaning/underground pipeline construction.
• Possession of a valid California Class B driver's license and driving record meeting District standards.
• Within two years of appointment, obtain Grade II collection system maintenance certificate from CWEA.
• Position subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect sewer collection lines for stoppages or damage.
• Assist crews in sewer repair and cleaning activities.
• Train Collection System Workers; maintain records of crew activity.
• Provide emergency sewer line response.
• Operate and maintain equipment at work sites and during transport.
