Actus Nutrition is seeking a Wastewater Operator for the Norfolk, NE shift (Nights, 6PM-6AM). The role focuses on operating and maintaining wastewater treatment systems to meet regulatory standards while supporting dairy processing operations.

The ideal candidate has experience in wastewater operations, preferably in food manufacturing, and a solid grasp of environmental regulations related to dairy processing. The position includes night differential pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliant operation.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, tanks, pumps, and other components.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning filters, replacing membranes, and calibrating instruments.
• Collect samples and conduct laboratory analysis to monitor wastewater quality and regulatory compliance.
• Adjust chemical dosages and treatment processes to optimize performance.
• Document data including flow rates and chemical usage with accuracy.
• Respond promptly to alarms and system failures to minimize downtime.

We are currently seeking a Wastewater Operator to join the Norfolk, NE team. The shift for the position is Nights, 6PM-6AM, with every other weekend off.

Pay: $24.50 per hour +$2.50night shift differential

The Wastewater Operator will operate and maintain wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in wastewater treatment operations, preferably in a food manufacturing environment, and possess a strong understanding of environmental regulations related to dairy processing.

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems to ensure efficient and compliant operation.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, tanks, pumps, and other wastewater treatment components.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, replacing membranes, and calibrating instruments.
• Collect samples and conduct laboratory analysis to monitor wastewater quality and ensure effluent meets regulatory requirements.
• Adjust chemical dosages and treatment processes as necessary to optimize performance and maintain compliance.
• Document operational data, including flow rates, chemical usage, and maintenance activities.
• Respond promptly to alarms and system failures to minimize downtime and prevent environmental impacts.
• Coordinate with other plant personnel and external contractors for maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintain accurate records of all activities in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Participate in training programs to stay current on wastewater treatment technologies and regulatory changes.
• Proven experience in operating and maintaining wastewater treatment systems, preferably in a food manufacturing or dairy processing environment
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations related to wastewater discharge, particularly in dairy processing
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
• Good communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with other plant personnel, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to stand, climb, and walk during entire shift and ability to lift 50 pounds consistently
