Actus Nutrition is seeking a Wastewater Operator for the Norfolk, NE shift (Nights, 6PM-6AM). The role focuses on operating and maintaining wastewater treatment systems to meet regulatory standards while supporting dairy processing operations.

The ideal candidate has experience in wastewater operations, preferably in food manufacturing, and a solid grasp of environmental regulations related to dairy processing. The position includes night differential pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in wastewater treatment operations, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations related to dairy processing.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliant operation.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, tanks, pumps, and other components.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning filters, replacing membranes, and calibrating instruments.
• Collect samples and conduct laboratory analysis to monitor wastewater quality and regulatory compliance.
• Adjust chemical dosages and treatment processes to optimize performance.
• Document data including flow rates and chemical usage with accuracy.
• Respond promptly to alarms and system failures to minimize downtime.
