Job summary

Arcwood in Benton, AR is seeking a Transportation Specialist responsible for coordinating inbound waste transportation to ensure safe, efficient movement into facilities. The role works with customers, carriers, operations and internal teams to schedule truckload and LTL shipments and optimize routing.

You will maintain transportation records with high accuracy, support compliance with DOT hazardous waste rules, and negotiate rates with carriers to keep costs in check.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an office environment.
• Experience with trucking/scheduling and knowledge of DOT hazardous waste regulations (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound waste transportation activities with customers, carriers and internal teams.
• Schedule truckload and less-than-truckload shipments for inbound waste.
• Optimize routing and load planning to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Negotiate transportation rates with carriers to support cost-effective operations.
• Maintain transportation records and scheduling data with high accuracy.
• Support compliance with applicable transportation and hazardous waste regulations.
