Job summary

Danfoss in Oklahoma is seeking a Waste Technician to handle daily collection, sorting, and safe disposal of waste and recyclables. You will operate facility machinery and maintain logs while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 8:00 pm–4:00 am. The role demands attention to detail, ability to work independently or with a team, and commitment to Lean practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize time management, prioritize, and function in a highly organized manner.
• Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures necessary to ensure compliance with Danfoss initiatives and ensure the personal safety of the incumbent and his/her associates including eye safety, hearing conservation, machine safety guards, ergonomic movement, lock out/tag out, SDS procedures, and OHSA regulations.
• Collect, sort, and process recyclable or waste materials.
• Operate basic facility machinery and equipment safely.
• Inspect waste packages to ensure they meet site & regulatory rules and safety limits.
• Load and unload materials from collection trucks or bins.
• Follow local and federal safety rules while handling materials.
• Keep accurate daily logs and paper records of waste volumes.
• Meet standards as communicated by supervisor.
• Perform other related tasks and assignments, as necessary.

What You’ll Be Doing

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Occasional walking within warehouse or production areas
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (as needed)
• Frequent use of computers and office equipment
• Works in an environment where inattention could cause injury
• Combination of office and manufacturing/warehouse setting
• Exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures when on the production floor

This is a safety sensitive position.

This position is classified as Safety-Sensitive under the Oklahoma Standards for Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Act.
