Job summary

The Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist for the Integrated Waste Division to manage supplies and equipment. The role requires maintaining on-hand inventory, scheduling deliveries and removals via Q-Alert, and overseeing the inventory control technician.

You will ensure accurate records, coordinate with supervisors and vendors, and contribute to efficient warehouse operations across the division. Strong organizational skills and independence are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory controls of on-hand equipment and deliveries to the public.
• Use the Q-Alert work order system to schedule deliveries and removals for customer locations, open and close work orders.
• Purchase supplies and distribute supplies to supervisors; perform special orders as needed.
• Receiving shipments and unloading carts.
• Inspect incoming deliveries for quality and quantity; contact vendors regarding incorrect deliveries.
• Oversee the inventory control technician.
• Manage the drop-off recycling trailers' collection and operational status.
• Assist other sections within Integrated Waste as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
