Job summary

Jobtailor in Columbus, OH seeks an Inventory/Logistics Specialist to manage SAP-based inventory and warehousing activities. You will organize production orders, perform cycle counts, and coordinate interdepartmental communications to maintain accuracy and service levels.

Key duties include material disposition, destruction preparation, and acting as a backup for team members while ensuring timely task completion to sustain business continuity.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 1-2 years’ demonstrated knowledge in Warehousing.
• 1-2 years’ experience in SAP or similar WMS Systems.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with all departments within the organization.
• Proficiency in SAP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to recognize a problem, apply quick fix and communicate status.
• Preferred qualifications: Associate or Bachelor degree in supply chain or related discipline.
• 2-5 years’ demonstrated knowledge in Warehousing.
• 2-5 years’ experience in SAP or similar WMS Systems.

Responsibilities

• Organize and execute production orders and warehouse signal board management.
• Coordinate intra-company transfers, product requests and destruction of starting materials.
• Acts as lead contact between Operations and Materials Warehouse, communicating issues.
• Conduct SAP inventory transactions such as cycle counts, recounts, replenishments, and reconciliations.
• Resolve inventory and order management issues to meet customer service objectives.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and assist with inventory audits.
• Assist with in-house damage inventory control activities.
• Identify and verify damaged starting materials for SAP updates and disposition.
• Organize pallets for destruction and coordinate material pickup with third-party destruction.
• Back-up for Inventory Specialist and Logistics Technicians as needed.
• Complete critical tasks timely to maintain business continuity.
