Job summary

Waste Pro USA is seeking a dedicated Heavy Duty Laborer in Monroe, NC to join our refuse collection team. You will pick up solid waste on defined routes, load into rear-load trucks, and assist drivers to ensure timely service for residents in the greater Charlotte area and beyond.

Responsibilities include safe operation, customer service, routine cleanup, and adherence to safety policies. Some shifts may occur during emergencies; training courses are provided by Waste Pro.

Qualifications

• Picks up and moves trash bags, bulk items and containers to the truck.
• Follows safety policies including ANSI and OSHA requirements.
• Participates in mandatory training courses as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Picks up solid waste and places it in the rear load garbage truck on specified routes.
• Loads refuse and carts onto the truck and operates the packing mechanism as needed.
• Provides courteous, expeditious customer service to residents and the public.
• Answers questions and directs residents to Customer Service or government offices.
• Backs up the driver as directed and assists with safe truck operations.
• Cleans the hopper and truck at shift end and reports safety or service issues.
