• Ride on the vehicle to assist the Driver during service on a designated route.
• Operate packing mechanism and levers to activate the lifting and loading mechanism.
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip; clean hopper and truck as applicable.
• Perform complete pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections; report safety issues on standard reports.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure routes are serviced in a timely, professional manner.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste.
• Maintain area around any spill, following safety standards and policies.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
