Republic Services is seeking a Driver Helper to assist a Driver on residential waste routes, helping with loading and safe vehicle operation. The role emphasizes prompt, courteous service and maintaining cleanliness on the route and vehicle.

As a Driver Helper you will support loading, safety, and daily operations while interacting with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely pickups and adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Ride on the vehicle to assist the Driver while servicing customers on a designated route.
• Operate packing mechanism to lift and load waste from route containers.
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body after disposal trips.
• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and teammates to ensure timely service.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and work area.
• Follow safety policies and productivity standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
