Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Recycling Technician to operate and maintain recycling and waste processing equipment, ensuring safe handling of materials and ongoing support for continuous improvement initiatives. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and related equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and accurately recording maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required.
• 1-3 years of experience in recycling, waste handling, warehouse operations, manufacturing, maintenance, or a related environment.
• Forklift experience preferred; ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment is a plus.
• Experience with compactors, balers, recycling systems, or similar equipment preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to inspect equipment and support basic troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, to collect and transport waste and recycling materials.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on recycling and waste processing equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Use hand tools and powered tools to support equipment maintenance and waste processing operations.
• Process waste and recyclable materials according to established procedures, including material handling, weighing, compaction, and loading for shipment or disposal.
• Ensure waste and recycling activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
• Follow all applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Comply with company security policies and established procedures.
