Job summary

Recology’s Fortuna operation seeks an Operations Supervisor to manage operations personnel, route drivers, and oversee daily workloads to ensure efficient and reliable service for the community.

You will assign routes and pickups, monitor performance, enforce safety policies, resolve customer inquiries, participate in billing decisions, review reports, and supervise attendance and training. Occasional dispatch duties and truck operation may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Management experience in waste/transport/logistics operations or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assigns employees to routes and pickups to balance workload.
• Monitors route performance and enforces safety policies.
• Resolves customer service issues and handles billing inquiries with management guidance.
• Generates and analyzes operational reports to improve efficiency.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections and may dispatch when needed.
