Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years in the waste industry/recycling programs; transportation, production and logistics operations; and one year of supervisory experience.
• Thorough knowledge of DOT regulations and truck computer systems.
• Current developments and trends in areas of expertise.
• Principles of personnel training, supervision and evaluation.
• Supervisory techniques, resource allocation, planning and budgeting.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Schedules employees and assigns employees to balance workload.
• Monitors production schedules; adapt procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
• Checks incoming and outgoing material for quality standards.
• Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
• Coordinates with other supervisors to align department activities.
• Investigates workers injuries, accidents, and other incidents when needed.
• Maintains compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
• May perform payroll data entry.
• Must be able to work any assigned shift.
• Other duties as assigned.
