Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Delivery Truck Driver in the Sandusky area to deliver and remove waste and recycling containers. The role requires safe operation of equipment, accurate delivery documentation, and professional customer interaction.

Shift: 5:00am - 7:00pm M-F. Candidates should have 1-2 years of relevant experience, a valid DOT Medical Card, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Rumpke offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand a map or GPS.
• Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics and routine maintenance.
• Ability to use small power tools for container repairs.
• Strong communication with customers and co-workers.
• Maintain a PIT (Power Industrial Truck) certification (training provided).
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or be able to obtain before hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate a truck and perform duties in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Deliver waste and recycling containers to customers and vendors.
• Complete documentation for deliveries/removals.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and logs.
• Interact professionally with customers and teammates to provide excellent service.
• Assist in other projects or areas as needed; operate other truck types.
