Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is hiring a Delivery Truck Driver to safely deliver and remove waste or recycling carts and bins for customers. You will operate a truck, complete deliveries/removals paperwork, and conduct pre/post-trip inspections while maintaining excellent customer service.

The role requires reading maps, strong driving skills, basic vehicle knowledge, and the ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map/GPS.
• Excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills.
• General knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
• Ability to use small power tools for basic repairs on containers.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate a truck and safely perform job duties in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies
• Deliver waste and recycling carts and bins to customers and vendors
• Complete proper documentation on deliveries and removals
• Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and complete logs
• Maintain and update work orders
• Professionally interact with co-workers, and internal/external customers, providing excellent customer service to all
• Assist in other projects or areas as needed
• Operate other types of trucks as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
