Job summary

Republic Services’ Material Processing Facility (MPF) Technician plays a key role in safety, efficiency, and compliance, supporting operations manager in processing, storage and distribution of waste through treatment. The job involves operating forklifts and heavy equipment, performing preventative maintenance and keeping accurate records.

You will work across maintenance tasks, support receiving and loading, and uphold company safety standards while communicating effectively with supervisors

Qualifications

• PPE usage knowledge is required.
• Experience operating a forklift or heavy equipment is preferred.
• Experience with treatment/disposal of non-hazardous waste is a plus.
• Ability to work in varied external environments.
• Flexible, team player with a positive attitude.
• A valid driver’s license may be preferred for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Process waste through treatment steps safely and efficiently to meet production goals.
• Track treatment and disposal volumes accurately.
• Operate plant equipment including forklifts and other heavy machinery.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and document activities.
• Support receiving, offloading and loading as required.
